Special Series
A number of titles with a common theme were given special wrappers.
These were introduced in the1940s and continued through the 1950s until the early 1960s.
Special wrappers have been seen in the following series:

A.B.C. OF GARDENING
Two designs for the ABC of Gardening Series were used.
The first (left) has a distinctive spade and bird design on the front wrapper cover. There are 2 slightly different styles.
Different colours for the top panel were used.
Dates seen: 1949 to 1963
The second (right) was simpler design as shown on the right similar to the general series.
The spade and bird are made logo size.

FARMING
The Teach Yourself Farming series used green and yellow with the split cover style. The Two Towers logo sometimes appears in the front cover design but is always on the spine in green on a yellow background.
The title "Good Farming" has "key volume" on the front cover.

HISTORY OF ENGLISH LITERATURE
ThIs series used a background predominately of deers. The colours are :
blue (volume 1)
orange (volume 2)
dark green (volume 3)
red (volume 4)
dark orange (volume 5)
dark red (volume 6)

HISTORY OF PAINTING
A departure using a larger format (7.5 by 9.25 inches) than the regular titles. Each front cover had a typical painting from the given period. Unusually they were not given TRNs.
There were ten volumes :

HISTORY
The teach Yourself History Library began with the wrappers which had a three-lined frame surrounding a central panel. The frame had TEACH YOURSELF at the top and HISTORY at the bottom.
Underneath was :

AND PUBLISHED BY
THE ENGLISH UNIVERSITIES PRESS
The central panel used a number of colours with the same title having different colours with different impressions.
The central panel colours I have seen are : blue,red, green. Dates seen: 1946, 1947, 1948, 1951
On the wrappers the list of current titles are sometimes grouped according to the continent of the subject discussed.
The second series were much plainer in aspect. The main words in the title were highlighted with a colour (red, blue, green or brown). Dates seen : 1953, 1956, 1958, 1961, 1964, 1966
